Before and after brachioplasty in a 63 year old woman. She had lost the tone in her arms after several major weight fluctuations. Her upper arms became her most disliked body part, as is the case for many women! She wanted to feel comfortable wearing sleeveless tops and bathing suits without her “bat wings” flapping!
A brachioplasty was the procedure of choice for her. Excess skin and fat was surgically excised from her inner upper arms. The skin of the arm was recontoured and the scar was hidden to the best of our ability in her inner arm area, although it is visible from behind (see the last set of images). Liposuction of the arms further debulked residual fat and provided a more slender contour. Follow up photos are shown one year after surgery. To see her actual brachioplasty specimens (the tissue that was removed), read this blog post!
Her incisions have mildly stretched, which is quite common for the arms. Her scars are nearly mature, and are not visible from the front (see the second last set of images). With increased muscle tone, her results will be even more impressive!
