Before and after an abdominoplasty as part of a 48 year old woman’s Mommy Makeover procedure. She hated her abdominal “pouch” (overhang, also known as a “pannus”) and wanted to feel like her fit self underneath.
An abdominoplasty removed all the excess skin and fat from this overhang. Her rectus abdominis muscles were repaired to one another in the midline, and her abdominal skin was stretched taut downwards. Liposuction completed the procedure, removing additional fat from her upper and lower abdomen, hips, flanks, pubic area and upper inner thighs.
Follow up photos are shown 5 years after surgery. Her scars are mature and she is very comfortable in her skin!
