Before and after abdominoplasty in a 53-year-old mother of twins and one singleton. She was in excellent shape, but her abdominal wall was stretched out from her pregnancies.

She felt like her "guts were going to fall out when doing planks". She wanted her flatter belly back; she was not too concerned about scars since she was used to her C-section incision.

An abdominoplasty repaired her muscles and corrected her rectus diastasis in the midline, extending from her xiphoid process above to her pubic bone below. Excess skin and stretch marks were removed, and her belly button was inset in a natural position on her belly.

Liposuction of her pubic region and flanks completed the procedure. The actual repair of her rectus diastasis before and after suturing with a double-layered permanent nylon suture is shown in the images below.

Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery. Her scars continue to fade, and she has her flat belly!
