Before and after abdominoplasty with liposuction in a 40-year-old women. After having children, she had stretched out lower abdominal skin, stretch marks, separation of her abdominal muscles and excess fat.
A tummy tuck removed excess lower abdominal fat, repaired her rectus abdominis muscles and pulled her abdominal skin tightly downward. Liposuction removed fat from her upper and lower abdomen, flanks, pubic region and upper inner and outer thighs.
Her abdominal tissue weighed over five pounds! Five liters of fat was removed as well. We recommend that patients do not weigh themselves for at least six weeks after surgery since their body will be retaining surgical swelling and their weight could be 5-10 pounds heavier after surgery until the initial stages of healing are complete.
Follow up photos are shown 1 year after surgery. Her scars are fading, and she is back exercising. With increased core strength and upper abdominal muscle engagement, her results will be even more fantastic!
