Before and after abdominoplasty and liposuction of the abdomen and flanks in a 57-year-old woman. She had past abdominal surgeries which left her with widened scars, an unsightly contour and excess rolls of fat. She had hidden her belly for years but wanted to enter her sixties without needing to cover up her midsection now that she was planning for retirement and would no longer be sitting at a desk all day.
An abdominoplasty surgically removed excess skin and fat from her lower abdomen. Its total weight was over three pounds. Liposuction removed nearly two liters of fat from her upper and lower abdomen, flanks and pubic region.
Follow up photos are shown 9 months after surgery. Her scars are fading, and her skin sensation is recovering. She is grateful for her improved abdominal contour!
