Before and after mini-abdominoplasty in a 58-year-old woman. She was bothered by the excess lower abdominal skin that lay above her hysterectomy scar. She was adamant about not going to sleep and firm in her singular goal of only having abdominal scar revision without other add-ons such as liposuction or abdominal muscle repair.
A mini-abdominoplasty (without rectus diastasis repair or liposuction) was planned in the office under local anesthesia. After surgery, she took a full month off exercise and resumed her usual activities at that time. She never even took a pain pill!
Early follow up photos are shown six weeks after surgery. She is ready to begin scar therapy and to strengthen her core muscles, which will improve her upper abdominal contour. She was so excited after surgery that she got her navel pierced!
