Before and after an abdominoplasty with liposuction in a 52 year old woman. She had finished raising her kids and sending them off to college – now it was time for her to do something for herself! She had thought about a tummy tuck for years, and finally felt comfortable proceeding with her “Mommy Makeover”.
Her abdominoplasty removed a large overhanging excess of skin and fat from her lower abdomen. Her abdominal muscles were repaired in the midline, and her abdominal skin was pulled tightly downwards. Her belly button was brought out through a new skin opening, like bringing a button out through a button hole.
Liposuction was done circumferentially to complete her procedure. Her upper and lower abdomen, flanks in the front and back, her lower back, pubic region and upper inner thighs were all contoured.
Follow up photos are shown 9 months after surgery. Her scars are nearly mature and her swelling still lingers, but continues to fade. She is so happy with her decision to have this procedure!
