Before and after abdominoplasty and umbilical hernia repair in a 37 year old mother. Her belly had bounced back pretty well after her first pregnancy, but a big baby after that stretched her abdominal wall out further, creating a hernia in her navel region as well.
An abdominoplasty repaired her rectus abdominis muscles back together in the midline, repaired her umbilical hernia and removed excess lower abdominal skin, including her stretch marks.
Early follow up photos are shown two months after surgery. Her belly is now completely flat! She is about to start scar therapy, which will continue for the next 3-6 months as her scars continue to mature.
